I remember lying on my back in the grass this spring to take a picture of the cherry blossom. That was April 11. Today I did the same thing. Dropped down in the grass, wearing the same Reebok Ever Road sneakers. But now with the cherries hanging on the branches. They're still not completely red, but if I wait for another day or two, the birds will have had their share and the tree will be empty again for the rest of the year.
