Cherry picking

In my last post I told about taking a picture of my sneakers with the cherry blosssom in the background. That was April 11. Today I saw birds attacking the tree, which means that the cherries are ripening. So I took the same picture again.

This time it was a lot easier to shoot the picture. The branches are hanging dangerously low under the weight of the cherries and since the grass is short and dry and it is warm outside, it is a lot more convenient to lay down and take a picture.

I also took some pictures with my DSLR. It is hard to get them still in the image. They use extreme force to tear open the cherries and swallow the contents. But that also gives some nice pictures.

So now I have had my share, the rest is for my feathered friends. As a token of their gratitude, they mostly cover my car with their droppings. Kind of paying me back for their dinner.
